Ever heard of a week long grand opening of a store? We haven’t either. But Shashaank Somani has pulled off this by unveiling his state-of-the-art showroom of Somani Surfaces and celebrating the launch event for 5 days! “We wanted the launch of this dream project to be as grand as our vision,” says Shashaank Somani.
The exterior facade had piqued the curiosity of not only the architect community but also the people passing by. This new edifice which is designed by renowned architect, Anand Sarda said, “It was one of the most exciting projects and it feels great to see it functional to the people.”
“We are fortunate to have a lot of people who have supported us through the years and we wanted to share our happiness with everyone. We spread the inauguration through 5 days as we wanted every single person to be personally attended and thanked. We are super grateful to Anand Chandak Sir for his guidance and curating everything,” says Shashaank Somani.
The inauguration kicked off on 15th March ’22 with the ribbon cutting ceremony by the guests of honour Rajendra Dongre ji, Monita Patel ji, Naval Zamwar ji, three of the most renowned names in Design & Architecture. The first opening night was exclusively for Architects and Interior Designers. For them it was like visiting Disneyland (of sorts), they were stunned to witness the grandiosity, variety and technology all under one roof.
Followed by the night of the 16th with close family and community of the Somani family. Nothing like receiving the blessings of the family who wholeheartedly supported the dream of the young entrepreneur, Shashaank. On the 19th it was the turn of the teachers and friends of Shashaank to celebrate the success of a student/friend, who they have watched grow into a man who dared to chase his dreams.
The 20th was reserved for the employees who worked there and helped build the showroom and their families. It was a matter of pride for the families to see their children work with a unique brand like Somani Surfaces and experience it firsthand. The last day was attended by all the like-minded young entrepreneurs known to Shashaank, who themselves had big dreams in their eyes and are on the verge of fulfilling them just like him. These were the people who shared the same energy as Shashaank and the drive to create something unheard of.
This is just the beginning of Somani Surfaces’ journey to becoming a one stop solution for the makers and we can easily say it is an explosive start.
