Shahid Kapoor starrer action thriller Deva, directed by Rosshan Andrrews and starring alongside Pooja Hegde has been having a tough time at the domestic box office. With a decent opening weekend, collections have seen a sharp decline ever since, specially with the coming of Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravi Kumar and Loveyapa.

Significant Drop in Collections
On its second Friday (Day 8), Deva could accumulate only Rs 40 lakh, taking its cumulative tally up to Rs 27.55 crore. Starting with a great momentum, it was terribly down from the second day itself.

Day 1: Rs 5.50 crore
Day 2: Rs 6.50 crore
Day 3: Rs 7 crore
Day 4: Rs 2.50 crore
Day 5: Rs 2.10 crore
Day 6: Rs 1.85 crore
Day 7: Rs 1.70 crore
Day 8: Rs 0.40 crore
Total (8 Days): Rs 27.55 crore
Will It Cross Rs 30 Crore?
With the current trend, Deva is likely to surpass Rs 30 crore, but this is not a position that is going to alter its box office fate. The film is already declared a FLOP as its earnings have sharply declined.
Final Days at Cinemas
With Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava set to release next week, Deva is expected to stay in cinemas for just another week before its theatrical run ends. It remains to be seen if the film can squeeze out any last-minute gains before its exit.
