Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is all set to make a comeback on the big screen with his highly-awaited movie Sitare Zameen Par, which will release in theatres on 20 June 2025. As an added bonus, the trailer of the movie will be released on 1 May 2025, coinciding with the release of Ajay Devgn’s action thriller Raid 2.
Though Sitare Zameen Par is touted as a sequel to Aamir’s hit 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, which was criticlly acclaimed, it has a different story and set of characters. R.S. Prasanna directs the film, moving away from education to sports as it narrates the life of children with special needs and their passage of trials and triumph.

The film will have ten lead characters, some of whom are played by actors with special needs, such as those with autism and Down syndrome. Aamir Khan, who is also producing the film along with Kiran Rao under their home banner, shares screen space with Genelia Deshmukh in the lead role.

The music of the film is directed by the renowned trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, and the shooting has been done in various Indian cities such as Mumbai, New Delhi, and Vadodara.
Sitare Zameen Par is likely to find an emotional connect with audiences and foster inclusiveness and bring attention to the lives of specially-abled children.
