Mohanlal’s Empire Strikes Back! Thudarum Crushes Competition on Day 3

Mohanlal’s latest release Thaduram is racing toward a major box office success. After an impressive opening of ₹5.25 crore on Day 1, the film surged to ₹8.6 crore on Day 2. On Day 3, Sunday (April 27), Thaduram has already collected ₹6.4 crore by 6 PM, and it is poised to surpass Day 2 numbers by the end of the day.

Interestingly, the film’s occupancy on Sunday is significantly higher than on its opening day. While Thaduram registered a morning occupancy of 48% on Day 1, Day 3 saw a remarkable 71% morning occupancy, with afternoon shows soaring to 80.5%.

Outperforming L2: Empuraan
In comparison, Mohanlal’s previous blockbuster L2: Empuraan recorded only 40.7% occupancy in morning shows and 52.3% in the afternoon on its first Sunday. Thaduram has achieved 75% higher occupancy than L2: Empuraan’s morning shows and 58.6% higher in the afternoon slots.

This significant leap shows how audiences are embracing Thaduram with even more enthusiasm than Mohanlal’s much-anticipated sequel.

Ticket Sales on Fire
On Sunday, Thaduram is selling an impressive 14,700 tickets per hour on average through BookMyShow. Although this marks a slight drop from the Day 2 ticket sales, the film’s momentum remains strong. Fans and trade experts are eagerly waiting to see if it can surpass its Day 2 performance in terms of total ticket sales by the end of the day.

With such overwhelming support and consistent growth, Thaduram is well on its way to becoming one of Mohanlal’s biggest successes in recent years.
