Forgoing her signature athleisure-chic look, she went for high fashion with a satin black slip dress that provided both glamour and edge. The body-hugging number had slender spaghetti straps, a bold plunging neckline, and an open back highlighted with dainty crisscross straps—showcasing that sometimes less can indeed be more.

First Public Appearance Since Bareilly Firing Incident
Aside from fashion, Disha’s appearance in New York also represented a personal milestone. This was her first high-profile public outing since an alarming incident earlier this month close to her family home in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Unidentified attackers had sprayed at least three rounds, including one aerial shot, outside the Patani residence. Luckily, there were no reported injuries.
Soon enough, the attack was attributed by people going by the names Virendra and Mahendra Dhelana, who issued a public threat on social media, ostensibly connected to divisive statements by Disha’s sister, Khushboo Patani, regarding spiritual leader Aniruddhacharya Maharaj.
