What’s Behind Paresh Rawal’s “Ghaav Bhar Gaya Hai” Statement on Hera Pheri 3? The Answer Will Shock You!

Hera Pheri 3 Update: Paresh Rawal's "Ghaav Bhar Gaya Hai" Comment Sparks Confusion - What's Really Going On?

After months of rumors and controversy, longtime actor Paresh Rawal finally confirmed coming back to Hera Pheri 3, teaming up again with co-stars Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty in the eagerly awaited sequel to the popular comedy franchise. The actor previously stunned fans and filmmakers alike by walking away from the project, resulting in both creative and financial losses.

Shooting to Begin in Early 2026

In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Paresh told us that the shoot is going to begin in February-March next year. “It’s a work in progress,” he assured us, confirming that all problems have been sorted out now. His previous exit had reportedly caused a blow to the production, which made Akshay Kumar—the owner of the franchise rights—think about taking legal recourse. But Paresh explained that he had legitimate reasons for walking out and returned the signing amount plus interest.

No Bad Blood with Priyadarshan

The event had created buzz about a breakup between Rawal and old-time collaborator Priyadarshan, but the actor assures us that their association is as strong as ever. “A lot has happened but that hasn’t soured my relationship with Priyadarshan. Aise rishta kharab nahi hota hai. In fact, it has further strengthened our bond,” explained Paresh, who completed shooting for Bhoot Bangla, Priyadarshan’s return to Bollywood.

The two have worked on more than a decade of films together, and Hera Pheri 3 is their 15th project with each other.

No Solo Baburao Film Anytime Soon

Despite once expressing interest in a spin-off based on his iconic character Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, Paresh now feels such a project is unlikely. “We haven’t discussed a spin-off. Baburao can’t exist on his own—you need Shyam and Raju too,” he explained. Emphasizing his grounded approach, he added, “I’m not a greedy actor. I’m not someone who assumes that duniya meri wajah se chalti hai.”

Candid Criticism of Phir Hera Pheri

Rawal also looked back at the 2006 follow-up, Phir Hera Pheri, and conceded that he was let down with what happened. “They became over-smart. While dubbing for it, I knew ki humne ganda paap kar diya hai. Suniel Shetty alone stuck to his character genuinely and sincerely.”

With bridges mended and lessons learned, the fans can now wait with bated breath as the trio reworks the magic in Hera Pheri 3—hopefully with the same charm that made the first a cult classic.
