Actor Ram Charan and entrepreneur Upasana Konidela recently celebrated a special milestone as they performed the naming ceremony for their newborn twins. The couple, who welcomed a baby boy and a baby girl on January 31, announced their names as Shiva Ram Konidela and Anveera Devi Konidela.
The joyous occasion was marked by the presence of close family members, including megastar Chiranjeevi and his wife Surekha. Shiva Ram represents a meaningful blend of two spiritual ideals. “Shiva” draws inspiration from Shiva Shankara Vara Prasad — the birth name of Chiranjeevi — symbolizing inner strength and spiritual depth. “Ram,” taken from Ram Charan’s own name, reflects values such as righteousness and compassion. Together, the name signifies the harmony between inner power and responsible action.
Their daughter’s name, Anveera Devi, reflects the strength and grace of the Divine Feminine. Inspired by the blessings of Kanaka Durga Devi, the name symbolizes fearlessness, resilience, and divine protection.
Upasana also shared a thoughtful note explaining the significance behind all three of their children’s names. She revealed that their elder daughter Klin Kaara’s name is inspired by Goddess Lalitha Tripura Sundari, associated with beauty, wisdom, and cosmic energy. The name holds special meaning for her mother, Shobana Kamineni, who is a devoted follower of the Lalitha Sahasranamam.
She further explained that Shiva Ram’s name honors both Chiranjeevi’s original name and Ram Charan’s identity, while Anveera Devi’s name is rooted in the blessings of the revered Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada — a place deeply cherished by Surekha.
