Shakira Is Finally Coming Back to India After 19 Years — Fans Can’t Stay Calm

Shakira returns to India after 19 years with concerts in Mumbai and Delhi this April, blending music with a powerful mission to support child nutrition.

Global pop sensation Shakira is set to make a highly anticipated return to India nearly 19 years after her memorable 2007 performance in Mumbai during the Oral Fixation Tour. The Grammy-winning artist’s upcoming visit promises to be one of the biggest international music events of 2026, bringing her signature energy and iconic hits back to Indian audiences.

This April, fans in two major cities will have the chance to witness her live performances. Shakira will first take the stage at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai on April 10, followed by a performance at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on April 15.

General ticket sales opened on March 1 through District by Zomato, generating significant excitement among fans eager to secure their spot at the concerts.

The tour is being organised under the non-profit initiative Feeding India in collaboration with District by Zomato. Notably, this marks the first time the Feeding India Concert series will span multiple cities, expanding its reach and impact.

Ticket options for the Mumbai concert cater to a range of experiences. The highest-tier offering, the HSBC Starstruck Lounge pass, is priced at Rs 32,000. The base ticket amount is Rs 28,500, with additional delivery and booking charges applicable.

The premium pass offers a host of exclusive benefits, including access to the VIP Lounge, limited fan pit entry, shuttle service from the venue entrance to the lounge, and a designated standing area. Guests will also enjoy complimentary alcoholic beverages, premium food options, and a dedicated entry lane — all designed to create an elevated concert experience.

Other ticket categories for the Mumbai show include:

  • Platinum Lounge: Rs 24,500
  • VIP Section: Rs 14,500
  • General Section: Rs 6,000

These prices do not include booking and delivery charges.

Beyond the excitement of live music, the concerts carry a deeper purpose. The initiative aims to raise awareness and support for child nutrition across India.

In a statement announcing the tour, Shakira expressed her enthusiasm about reconnecting with Indian fans. She shared that performing in India has always held special meaning for her and that she looks forward to performing in both Mumbai and Delhi.

She also emphasised the larger mission behind the event, highlighting that the concerts are about coming together to ensure that every child has access to the nutrition necessary for healthy growth and development.

By combining entertainment with philanthropy, the tour goes beyond being a traditional concert series. It reflects a commitment to social impact, aligning music with a meaningful cause.

For Indian fans, the return of Shakira represents both nostalgia and renewed excitement. Her last performance in the country left a lasting impression, and her upcoming shows are expected to evoke similar enthusiasm.

Nearly two decades later, her presence promises to bridge past memories with new experiences, bringing together audiences across generations.

As anticipation builds, Shakira’s India tour is shaping up to be more than a musical event. It stands as a celebration of global artistry, cultural connection, and collective action — proving that music can inspire not only joy but also positive change.
