Hum Pyar Karne Wale Song Sparks Legal Drama: Trimurti Films Sues Dhurandhar 2 Makers

Even as the film Dhurandhar The Revenge continues to perform strongly at the box office a new controversy has come up that has caught everyone’s attention. A Bollywood production company called Trimurti Films has filed a legal case against filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s production house B62 Studios. The issue is about the use of an old popular song in the film without proper permission.

The song in question is Hum Pyar Karne Wale which was originally part of the 1989 film Tridev. The song was created by the music duo Anand Milind and written by lyricist Sameer Anjaan. It was sung by well known singers Anuradha Paudwal and Udit Narayan and became quite popular at the time. Trimurti Films has claimed that the same song or a version very similar to it has been used in Dhurandhar The Revenge without taking the required rights or licenses.

According to reports Trimurti Films has stated that they own or control the rights to the song and its recording. They believe that using it without permission is a clear case of copyright violation. This includes copying the work and sharing it with the public without proper approval. Because of this they have taken the matter to court.

In the legal case Trimurti Films has asked for an order to stop further use of the song in the film. They have also demanded financial compensation and other related actions. The company has raised concerns that the song could be used for commercial gain through theatres streaming platforms and promotions which could lead to further losses for them.

Interestingly the lyrical video of the song released by T Series on YouTube gives credit to the original singers and lyricist which has added another layer to the discussion. However the main question still remains whether proper permission was taken before using the track in the film.

Dhurandhar The Revenge is a spy action thriller that tells the story of Ranveer Singh’s character Jaskirat Singh Rangi. The film explores how he becomes the spy Hamza Ali Mazari and rises in the underworld while working on a mission to stop a terror network. The movie also stars Arjun Rampal R Madhavan Sanjay Dutt Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun along with others in important roles. Actor Yami Gautam also appears in a special cameo.

Despite this controversy the film has been a huge success and has crossed 1000 crore at the Indian box office. Now it remains to be seen how this legal issue will affect its journey ahead.
