In February 2026, Salim Khan, father of Salman Khan, was admitted to Lilavati Hospital after he suffered a minor brain hemorrhage. He underwent a small medical procedure and remained in the hospital for 28 days. After about a month, he was discharged and returned home. Soon after, he made his first public appearance on the occasion of Eid, when he stepped out with his family to greet fans gathered outside Galaxy Apartments.
Now, a recent photo of Salim Khan has come out, giving an update on his recovery. Trade analyst Komal Nahta shared a picture from his meeting with the veteran writer. In the photo, Komal Nahta is seen sitting next to Salim Khan, along with his friend. The meeting took place at Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra. Sharing the image, he wrote, “Was delighted to meet Salim Khan saab yesterday at his residence, with friend Raja Shetiya. The veteran writer is recovering slowly but surely after his 28-day hospitalisation in February-March. Thank you Dr. Sandeep Chopra for making this meeting possible.”

After the photo was shared, many fans reacted with concern and relief. One fan commented, “It was wonderful to hear that Salim Khan Sahab is recovering. Given the gravity of a 28-day hospital stay, “slowly but surely” is exactly the kind of progress one would hope for. He is a true titan of Indian cinema, and seeing him back home is a welcome update for everyone.” Another fan wrote, “Glad to hear that Salim Khaan Saab is recovering.” One more comment read, “So very happy to see him ..may He live longg.”
Earlier, Salman Khan had also shared a video with his father on Eid. In the video, Salim Khan was seen sitting in a wheelchair. Along with it, Salman wrote, “Eid Mubarak, Thank you very much for your blessings, Dad is back home thank you.”
On the work front, Salman Khan is currently working on his upcoming film with Nayanthara. The project is being produced by Dil Raju and directed by Vamshi Paidipally.
