The latest episode of Lock Upp 2 brought an emotional twist after the contestants were given new roles as “controllers” and “dependents”. Under the new task, the dependents had to follow the instructions given by their controllers, leading to several tense moments inside the house. One of the biggest moments came when Shilpa Shinde, who was assigned the role of a controller, asked Shivangi Joshi to reduce her interactions with fellow contestant Harshad Chopda.
During the task, Shilpa told Shivangi that she wanted her to spend less time with Harshad. She explained that she was not asking her to completely stop talking to him but wanted her to avoid sitting with him for long periods. “Now I am in control. You gave me this power. You were given a choice. Now I am a controller, right? And I am telling you, Harshad se baat kam kar do. Mat karo nahi bola, but kam (Talk to Harshad less. I didn’t say stop talking to him completely, but reduce it),” Shilpa told Shivangi.
She further said that she did not want to see Shivangi sitting with Harshad and pointed out that there were many other contestants in the house she could spend time with. When Shivangi asked if she should stop talking to Harshad completely, Shilpa clarified her stand. “Maine nahi kaha aap Harshad ke saath baat hi nahi karoge. I said I don’t want to see you sitting with Harshad. There are many people in the house. Not necessarily you talk to me. I am not dying to talk to you,” she said.
The conversation left Shivangi emotional. She later went to Harshad and told him about Shilpa’s instruction. While speaking to him, she broke down in tears and said she had been asked not to sit with him. Harshad tried to comfort her and asked her not to cry, telling her not to let the situation affect her so deeply.
The emotional moment continued when Ram Kapoor noticed Shivangi crying. She told him that Harshad was her only friend inside the house. Ram comforted her and encouraged her to stay strong. He reminded her that Lock Upp 2 is a challenging reality show where contestants have to deal with difficult situations and advised her to remain strong throughout the journey.
Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi have shared a close bond even before entering Lock Upp 2. The two actors previously worked together in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 4, where their on screen chemistry was well received by viewers. Their friendship has continued inside the reality show, and many fans have been supporting their bond as they face the challenges of the competition together.
