Salman Khan and Nayanthara have started shooting some of the key action sequences for their upcoming pan India film SVC63 in Mumbai. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film has been using specially built sets to create the look and feel of Afghanistan for its story. For the Mumbai schedule, the makers have created a detailed Afghan style setting at Prime Focus Studio in Goregaon. The set includes mud plastered homes, narrow lanes and other elements designed to give the scenes a realistic appearance. Instead of depending completely on visual effects, the team is using practical sets to bring these portions of the story to life.
The shooting began around August 6 and features Salman Khan and Nayanthara together in several important scenes. The two actors are expected to be involved in major action portions during this schedule. Actors Jackie Shroff and Rahul Dev are also part of the shoot and have joined the cast for these sequences.
The Mumbai schedule is expected to continue through early September. A large part of the current filming is focused on action scenes that require detailed preparation and large sets. The decision to build an Afghan setting in Mumbai allows the filmmakers to control the locations and create the atmosphere required for the story without having to depend entirely on shooting in international locations.
