Evil Dead Burn continued its steady run at the Indian box office on its first Monday. The horror film collected an estimated ₹2.50 crore on Day 4, recording a 25 per cent drop from its opening day collection. For a Hollywood release, this is considered a stable performance, as many films usually see a much bigger drop on the first working day after the opening weekend.
With Monday’s earnings, the film’s total collection has reached ₹17.85 crore gross in India. The strong weekend performance, along with a decent hold on Monday, has helped the film maintain its momentum at the box office.
Here is the film’s day wise collection in India:
Previews: ₹0.65 crore
Day 1: ₹3.30 crore
Day 2: ₹5.40 crore
Day 3: ₹6.00 crore
Day 4: ₹2.50 crore (estimated)
Total: ₹17.85 crore gross
Based on its current trend, Evil Dead Burn is expected to finish its first week with collections of around ₹25 crore gross. Whether the film can continue its successful run will depend on its performance during the second week, when it is expected to face competition from Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.
The film is also on track to earn more than the previous movie in the Evil Dead franchise during its full run in India. If it continues to attract audiences in the coming weeks, it could also aim to cross the ₹50 crore mark at the Indian box office.
Hollywood films have performed well in India this year, with several releases collecting more than expected. Films such as Project Hail Mary, The Mummy directed by Lee Cronin, Obsession, The Devil Weds Prada 2, and Michael have delivered encouraging box office results. However, not every release has seen the same response. Toy Story 5 and Supergirl could not maintain strong momentum after release, while Moana also had a slower start than expected.
The performance of Evil Dead Burn over the coming days will determine whether it can maintain its steady pace and add significantly to its overall box office collection.
