Final Destination: Bloodlines has officially become one of the biggest horror hits in the post-COVID box office era. With a domestic gross of USD 96.9 million, the film has already surpassed the lifetime collections of popular titles like M3GAN and Nosferatu (both capped at USD 95 million). It is expected to cross the USD 100 million milestone by tonight or Friday, solidifying its position as a horror blockbuster.
Impressive Box Office Momentum
The film had a strong showing on its second Tuesday, collecting USD 2.6 million—the highest Tuesday haul ever for a Final Destination sequel. While it reflected a 56.8% drop from the previous Tuesday, the numbers far outpaced 2009’s Final Destination 5, which made only USD 937K at the same point in its run. Industry projections now estimate a final domestic total of USD 125–135 million, signaling strong sustained interest.

A Franchise Reborn
Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, and written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, Bloodlines is the sixth installment in the iconic horror series. Initially planned as a reboot for HBO Max, the project was retooled into a theatrical continuation of the franchise, with filming taking place in Vancouver from March to May 2024 after delays caused by the SAG-AFTRA strike.
