James Gunn’s Superman, featuring David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult, has exceeded the ₹30 crore mark at Indian box offices. The film is managing modestly despite mixed reactions and stiff competition. It is particularly helped by Tuesday’s slashed ticket rates.

Future Outlook and Competition
The film opened with Maalik and Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan, but against holdover competition in the form of F1 and Jurassic World: Rebirth. The divided audience reaction and imminent new releases may also crimp its pace in the next week.
For Superman to continue its run in Indian theatres, it will require stronger weekday trends and word-of-mouth. Whether it will accelerate or slow down is to be seen.
