The political action drama recorded a 25 per cent drop compared to the previous day’s collection. With this, the film’s total collection in India has reached Rs. 213.75 crore gross, maintaining a steady performance during its second week.
The film is expected to finish its second week with collections of around Rs. 215 crore. It currently has a clear run at the box office before the arrival of Suriya’s Viswanath and Sons, which is scheduled to release on August 14, 2026. This gives Jana Nayagan a few more days to add to its overall collection before facing major competition.
Based on its current trend, the Vijay starrer is expected to finish its run in India with collections between Rs. 230 crore and Rs. 235 crore. Considering the challenges the film faced before and after its release, this would be a respectable performance at the box office. The movie experienced multiple setbacks, including delays, leaked content, and piracy, which affected its theatrical journey. It also received mixed to average word of mouth from audiences.
