Box Office Bombshell! Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu Declared Dead on Day 2, But Sunday Shows Some Life

Hari Hara Veera Mallu, featuring Pawan Kalyan, registered a small surprise over the weekend by bouncing back from the steep Friday decline and posting growth in collections

Hari Hara Veera Mallu, featuring Pawan Kalyan, registered a small surprise over the weekend by bouncing back from the steep Friday decline and posting growth in collections. The movie collected ₹83.50 crore in India in its four-day extended opening weekend. Internationally, it raked in around USD 1.60 million (₹13.50 crore), taking its worldwide total to ₹97 crore.

Even after crashing close to 80% on Friday, the movie recovered on Sunday with a 60% upsurge in Andhra Pradesh. Telangana and Karnataka too maintained their strength, going against projections of a total fall-through.

India Box Office – Day-Wise Gross:
Thursday: ₹49.50 crore

Friday: ₹9.50 crore

Saturday: ₹10.75 crore

Sunday: ₹13.75 crore

Total: ₹83.50 crore

Though this partial bounce somewhat alleviates the pain, the film is still a box office flop, contributing to the recent streak of disappointments for the Telugu film world. Pawan Kalyan, one of the Telugu states’ biggest stars, has not produced a clear box office winner in well over a decade, with Bheemla Nayak being the exception—though that, too, flopped due to ill luck.

Regional Breakdown:
AP/TS: ₹75.00 crore

Nizam: ₹26.50 crore

Ceded: ₹9.50 crore

Andhra: ₹39.00 crore

Karnataka: ₹6.50 crore

Tamil Nadu: ₹1.00 crore

Rest of India: ₹1.00 crore

India Total: ₹83.50 crore

Overseas Collection:
North America: USD 1.125 million

Rest of the World: USD 450,000

Total Overseas: USD 1.575 million (₹13.50 crore approx.)

Despite early setbacks, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is now likely to breach the ₹100 crore barrier worldwide in the next few days—an eventuality that looked improbable just a few days ago.
