Hari Hara Veera Mallu, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krishna and featuring Pawan Kalyan, Bobby Deol, and Nidhhi Agerwal, premiered to a decent count of ₹50.25 crore at the Indian box office. Although this figure may seem high in vacuum, it is short of the expectations for a blockbuster, pan-India film starring a superstar like Pawan Kalyan.
A Record Opener, But Still Disappointing
In spite of being Pawan Kalyan’s biggest first-day collection movie over Vakeel Saab and Bheemla Nayak the figures are misleading. Most of the day 1 collection comprises more than ₹10 crore of premieres, reducing the real day 1 collection to less than ₹40 crore. With increased ticket rates and fewer regulation checks after the last Andhra Pradesh government, trade professionals hoped for a better opening. Sadly, Hari Hara Veera Mallu failed to meet expectations.

Negative Reception and Uncertain Future
The reception has been highly negative, with steep falls in collections being reported on day 2. Though the movie may recover marginally over the weekend, chances of the movie crossing ₹100 crore in India appear slim. With overseas collections also disappointing, the movie is most likely headed towards being one of Pawan Kalyan’s biggest theatrical flops. A second part had been planned for the movie and had reportedly 20% footage shot, but now its future seems extremely uncertain.
