An interesting clash is all set to take place this Friday as Yash Raj Films' Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer, ISHAQZAADE, releases along side Karisma Kapoor's comeback vehicle, DANGEROUS ISHHQ.
While it is difficult to pick a winner, but at this point of time the Habib Faisal directed ISHAQZAADE seems ahead, though just a wee bit.
JANNAT 2
Last week's major release from the Bhatt camp, Kunal Deshmukh's Emraan, Randeep and Esha starrer, JANNAT 2, saw a good start at the ticket window but showed no big jump during the weekend. All the same given the all-inclusive release of 12 crores, just the 24.50 crore weekend (beating MURDER 2) is enough to take JANNAT 2 in to the profit zone.
The film though has disappointed in the overseas (though it had a limited release) grossing ?36,000 from UK and $45,000 from the UK, during the opening weekend (4-6 May).
TEZZ
After a dull start and a very ordinary weekend, Priyadarshan's TEZZ crashed from Monday onwards. Netting just 14.50 crores during the opening week from India, TEZZ is a trade disaster. The Anil, Ajay and Kangna starrer has also failed in the overseas grossing ?99,000 from UK and $219,000 from the US till the second weekend (4-6 May).
VICKY DONOR

VICKY DONOR has also done superbly in the overseas (especially US) grossing ? 90,350 from UK and $466,500 from the US till the third weekend (4-6 May).
HATE STORY
Moving on Vivek Agnihotri's HATE STORY crashed at the multiplexes in the second week (but was steady at single screens), though the film had already become a success in the first week itself. During the second week, HATE STORY collected 15 lakhs from Bombay (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 10 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 5.20 lakhs from Surat, 1.15 lakhs from Baroda (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived), 2 lakhs from Pune, 1.75 lakhs from Nasik, 10.55 lakhs from Delhi city, 2.25 lakhs from Noida, 2.65 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 4 lakhs from Kanpur, 4.50 lakhs from Lucknow, 1 lakh from Agra, 1.50 lakhs from Allahabad, 1 lakh from Gurgaon, 2 lakhs from Chandigarh, 15.25 lakhs from Calcutta, 1.50 lakhs from Siliguri, 1.65 lakhs from Nagpur, 1 lakh from Jabalpur, 1.10 lakhs from Raipur, 3.60 lakhs from Indore, 1 lakh from Bhopal, 3.20 lakhs from Hyderabad, 1.50 lakhs from Aurangabad (collections from 2 cinemas unreceived) and 1.50 lakhs from Bangalore. Adding another 2 crores HATE STORY has netted 13 crores in two weeks from India and is an above average fare, keeping in mind its very reasonable all inclusive cost of 6-7 crores.

The Mithun, Rishi, Akshay, John, Boman, Ritesh, Shreyas and Asin starrer is the biggest overseas grosser of the year with ?980,000 from UK and $ 1,586,800 from the US till the fifth weekend (4-6 May).
