This Friday will see the release of Anurag Basu's Ranbir, Priyanka and Illeana starrer, BARFI!. The film based on the unconventional subject of the travails of the physically and mentally challenged, is all set to embark on a good start at the multiplexes and good cinemas. And for that the makers should thank the interesting and good promotion, popular music and not to forget Ranbir's star power!
After the biggest first day for an Emraan Hashmi film, RAAZ 3 continued its winning run with an improvement over the previous day, and ended the opening weekend netting a big 36 crore (including Thursday paid previews). Given the quite steady weekdays, RAAZ 3 is all set to be the biggest solo hit of Emraan Hashmi's career. The Vikram Bhatt directed Bipasha-Emraan starrer, RAAZ 3, has done quite decently in the overseas (for an Emraan solo) grossing ?73,250 from UK and $ 95,300 from the US during the opening weekend (7-9 September).

The film has also been rejected in the overseas grossing ?138,000 from UK and $155,000 from the US till the second weekend (7-9 September).
The other releases of the week, FROM SYDNEY WITH LOVE and I M 24, have been rejected at the ticket window.
Meanwhile after a so-so opening week EROS International and Bhansali Productions' SHIRIN FARHAD KI TOH NIKAL PADI crashed badly in the second. During week the film collected 75 lakhs from Bombay (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 6.35 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 3 lakhs from Surat, 3.25 lakhs from Baroda, 6.50 lakhs from Pune, 1.25 lakhs from Nasik, 2.15 lakhs from Goa, 30 lakhs from Delhi city, 3.75 lakhs from Noida, 1.75 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 1.75 lakhs from Lucknow, 5.60 lakhs from Gurgaon, 2 lakhs from Chandigarh, 1 lakh from Jalandhar, 5 lakhs from Calcutta (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 1lakh from Nagpur, 1.65 lakhs from Indore, 1.20 lakhs from Jaipur, 3 lakhs from Ajmer, 2.75 lakhs from Hyderabad and 15 lakhs from Bangalore. Adding another 2.50 crore, SHIRIN FARHAD KI TOH NIKAL PADI has netted 12 crore in two weeks from India and will escape with minimal losses. The film has also under-performed in the overseas grossing ?77,200 from UK and $ 166,750 from the US till the third weekend (7-9 September).

ETT is also Salman's biggest overseas grosser with ?1,393,000 from UK and $2,650,000 from the US till the fourth weekend (7-9 September).
Concluding with Anurag Kashyap's GANGS OF WASSEYPUR II, the film is ending its creditable run collecting 10 lakhs from Bombay (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 1.75 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 1.50 lakhs from Pune, 6.85 lakhs from Delhi city, 2 lakhs from Noida, 2.65 lakhs from Lucknow, 1.50 lakhs from Gurgaon and 1.50 lakhs from Calcutta. With another 40 lakhs GANGS OF WASSEYPUR II has netted 24 crore in four weeks from India. The Nawazuddin and Huma starrer is an average plus fare.
