Last Friday saw the release of five films – Naseeruddin Shah’s BARAH AANA and FIRAAQ, Aftab Shivdasani’s ALOO CHAAT, the Vinay Pathak starrer STRAIGHT and Abhijit Sawant’s debut venture LOTTERY. While BARAH AANA and STRAIGHT are outright failures, ALOO CHAAT and FIRAAQ have dull to weak collections to show, but the makers can still harbour some hopes, especially for FIRAAQ. The last release LOTTERY is already a disaster.
