The much-anticipated trailer of the third season of Aashram was released on Friday, promising an intense and intriguing continuation of the hit web series. Directed by Prakash Jha, the MX Player show features Bobby Deol as Baba Nirala, a self-styled godman who hides all his dark deeds beneath the veil of a spiritual cult.
The trailer begins with Parminder (Aaditi Pohankar) dreaming of killing Baba Nirala, which sets the note for growing tension. In this season, a stronger and braver Baba declares his might even while doing crooked political deals, including selling ministerial seats for ₹35 crore. Esha Gupta joins the cast as a follower who may have a deeper role in the unfolding drama.

As Baba Nirala expands his empire beyond India, Bhopa (Chandan Roy Sanyal), his right-hand man, is skeptical about the grand vision. The show also features Darshan Kumaar as a fierce cop who is caught in Parminder’s murder plot politically opposed with Baba.
Fans went crazy over the teaser and lauded Bobby Deol’s performance. While one fan stated, “This show proves Bobby only needed the right script to make it,” another termed Esha Gupta’s entry a huge highlight.
The film Aashram 3 was embroiled in controversy even before it began shooting in Bhopal after Bajrang Dal activists vandalized the set and threw ink at Prakash Jha, claiming that the series smeared Hinduism.
Apart from Bobby Deol, the cast includes Anupriya Goenka, Adhyayan Suman, and Tridha Choudhury. Aashram Season 3 is set to premiere on MX Player on June 3.
