Though miles away from India, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna celebrated a heartwarming and traditional Diwali with their children Aarav and Nitara in London. The family visited the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir (Neasden Temple), joining thousands of devotees for the festival of lights. The temple shared a delightful video featuring the star couple soaking in the spiritual atmosphere, offering prayers, and enjoying some family time.
Akshay looked elegant in a cream kurta, while Twinkle opted for a soft pink suit. The video shows them walking through the temple premises, taking in its intricate architecture, and sharing moments of reflection. Akshay was also seen explaining aspects of the temple to Aarav, making it an educational and meaningful experience for the kids. The family also posed with temple priests, capturing the festive spirit in memorable photographs.
The temple’s official Instagram handle posted, “It was a pleasure to welcome renowned actor and philanthropist @akshaykumar with his wife @twinklerkhanna and children this afternoon to celebrate Diwali at @NeasdenTemple… to experience inner peace, heartfelt devotion, and personal reflection.”
Earlier in the day, Twinkle had given fans a glimpse of their Diwali at home via Instagram. In a playful post, she shared a photo of herself feeding Akshay an orange, joking, “Diwali in London. All dressed up with no mithai in sight. So behaving like oranges are the new laddoos… Temple visit next with real mithai.”
It’s been a packed year for Akshay Kumar, with multiple releases including Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2, Housefull 5, Jolly LLB 3, and the Telugu film Kannappa. Looking ahead, he’ll be seen in Bhoot Bangla, Haiwaan, and Welcome to the Jungle, proving once again that Bollywood’s Khiladi shows no signs of slowing down.
