Bollywood icon Salman Khan maintained his beloved Eid tradition by welcoming fans outside Galaxy Apartments. The only difference this year was that the star made his public appearance from the safety of a bulletproof glass cover due to security issues and recent death threats. Despite the extra caution, the festive mood was not disturbed, with fans turning out in large numbers to catch a glimpse of their favorite star.
A Heartwarming Moment with Niece Ayat
Along with Salman on the balcony was his cute niece, Ayat, who captured everyone’s heart with her cuteness. The actor, famous for his bonding with his family, waved at his cheering public while carrying Ayat, transforming a moment of tension into one of warmth and happiness. The image of the Sikandar star with his niece went viral on social media within no time, pleasing fans all over the country.

‘Sikandar’ Opens to Reasonable Box Office Figures
Salman Khan was also back on the big screen during Eid after a two-year gap with AR Murugadoss’s Sikandar, starring Rashmika Mandanna. The movie opened with good expectations but failed to create the same buzz that some of Salman’s previous Eid releases have.
Based on initial estimates from Sacnilk.com, Sikandar earned Rs 26 crore on the first day. The movie saw a total Hindi occupancy of 21.60% on March 30, 2025, with the figures increasing steadily throughout the day. Major cities such as Mumbai and NCR saw evening occupancy rates of more than 24%, while Pune lagged slightly behind at 21%.

Mixed Box Office Performance
Whereas Sikandar’s Day 1 collections were decent, it was lower compared to Salman’s previous Eid release such as Sultan (Rs 36.54 crore) and Tiger 3 (Rs 53.3 crore). As a surprise, the movie also trailed behind that of Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, opening at Rs 31 crore.
Critical Reception and Audience Response
News18 Showsha gave Sikandar 3.5 stars, hailing Salman’s presence on screen. The review declared, “Salman Khan’s presence is electrifying, and he owns every frame with his trademark charisma. Sikandar is an unapologetic Salman Khan vehicle, and it’s a wild ride sure to leave fans grinning.” Made under Salman Khan Films, Sikandar is currently running in cinemas.
