Ganesh Chaturthi, India’s most prominent Hindu festival, has again united people with pomp, piety, and cheer. In Mumbai, the 10-day-long celebration is characterized by colorful pandals, cultural events, and star visits to symbolically famous Ganpati mandals. Actress Swara Bhasker and her husband Fahad Ahmad were among this year’s notable visitors to many Ganesh puja mandals in Anushakti Nagar, making offerings and mixing warmly with the faithful. Swara subsequently posted photos and videos from the visit on Instagram with the caption, “Bidding Bappa farewell!
Festive Fashion and Customs Swara dressed in the festive mood in a sparkling green saree adorned with golden borders and a matching blouse. She completed her look with a gold-colored necklace, earrings, and rings, while loose waves in her hair and light makeup put the spotlight on her festive appearance.
Fahad supported her beauty with a simple maroon kurta, opting for the traditional look. The couple was felicitated at the pandals, with Swara getting sarees and stoles and Fahad being presented with a Marathi cap and flower bouquet.
Their serene involvement was a sign of profound respect towards cultural heritage, pleasing fans and enthusiasts alike.
A Love Story Based on Belief
Swara and Fahad’s relationship took shape in the CAA-NRC protests in December 2019, where they found common ground in their ideologies and became good friends. Following months of being together, Fahad asked her to marry him, and the couple got married in February 2023 through a court wedding, followed by an extravagant traditional wedding ceremony.
They had a child in September 2023, further cementing their relationship.
On-Screen Journey Together Swara and Fahad are presently featured on the reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga, which is hosted by Munawar Faruqui and Sonali Bendre.
