Global pop star Ed Sheeran performed in Shillong, Meghalaya, on February 12 as part of his ‘+ – = ÷ x’ India tour. The concert was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Polo and attracted a packed crowd. Bollywood star John Abraham and his wife, Priya Runchal, were among those who watched the performance and greeted the singer prior to the show. Priya later posted photographs on Instagram, which depicted their happy moments with Sheeran.
Scooter Ride with Arijit Singh in Jiaganj
Sheeran was seen in Jiaganj, West Bengal, after his concert in Shillong, West Bengal, with famous singer Arijit Singh. Arijit can be seen riding a scooter with Sheeran pillion behind him, cruising about the town casually in viral videos. Together, they spent about five hours touring around and then took an hour-long boat ride on the Bhagirathi River. Arijit received accolades from fans for giving Sheeran a glimpse into the simple way of life, with most stating, “Bhai is showing him how to live a simple life as well.”

Bengaluru’s Street Performance and Police Intervention
Prior to this, Sheeran left Bengaluru fans stunned by delivering an impromptu performance at Church Street. The act, though, was terminated in a hush by the police and was headlining social media sites. In the Bengaluru show, he even had vocalist Shilpa Rao join him for a one-time performance of Chuttamalle, which was covered with Telugu verses sung by Arijit Singh.
Memorable Moments in Hyderabad and Chennai
Prior to reaching Shillong, Sheeran performed in Hyderabad and Chennai. In Chennai, he got to share the platform with great composer A.R. Rahman to sing Urvasi, much to the joy of the audience.
