Director Karan Johar recently gave a sneak peek into his first-ever Maldivian vacation, which was full of “sun, sea, and solace.” On Instagram, he uploaded a series of candid photographs of his beautiful environment and stylish outfit.
A Scenic Retreat
The photos of his vacation express the essence of luxury and tranquility. In one, Karan sits on a wooden deck looking out at the blue ocean in white linen attire, topped with chunky wooden bead jewelry and beige shades. The second picture has him posing stylishly, hands in pockets, on the same deck. In a third photo, Karan stands with his back against a white wall, with a wide ocean behind him, wearing a black and white designer top. The peaceful environment goes well with his casual but stylish look.

Thanking the Hosts
Karan conveyed his appreciation in the caption, stating, “Sun… Sea….solace…. my first visit to the Maldives and these are just some candid (ya right!!!) shots where I was caught unaware.” He appreciated the hospitality team of Jumeirah Olhahali Island and described the property as “stunning” and indicated his desire to visit it again.
New Filmmaker Discovery
Apart from his Maldivian break, Karan Johar just dropped some juicy news about his new filmmaker friend whom he’s launching through his production banner. In a long message, the filmmaker shared that the first-timer director had spent 4-5 years working on this project, navigating several pandemic-imposed delays. Reflecting on his journey as a producer since 2003, Karan expressed his pride in supporting new talent, stating, “This film is one of Dharma’s proudest films,” highlighting the unwavering dedication of the entire team.
