Priyanka Chopra Jonas has returned to India for her upcoming work commitments. Before starting the shoot of her next film Varanasi, she made a short visit to Amritsar to offer prayers at the Golden Temple. The actress shared glimpses from her visit on social media. In one of the pictures, she is seen standing inside the temple premises with the Golden Temple in the background.
Along with the photo, she wrote, “Thinking of you dad,” remembering her father, Dr. Ashok Chopra. The visit appeared to be emotional and personal for her.
Priyanka was dressed in a simple peach kurta pyjama set with a matching dupatta during the visit. Through her posts, she also showed parts of local Punjabi culture and daily life around the temple. Some videos that are being shared online also show her taking part in seva, including washing utensils, which is a common practice at the temple.
Before visiting Amritsar, she watched Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar*. After watching the film, she shared her thoughts online and praised the team. She congratulated actors like Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. Praising the director, she wrote, “Aditya, you’re a man with a mission. Dhurandhar, in every way, is a revelation. Thank you all for your artistry.”

On the work front, Priyanka will next be seen in Varanasi, which is directed by S. S. Rajamouli. The film also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran in important roles. It is considered to be one of the most expensive Indian films made so far.
The film is expected to release in cinemas on April 7, 2027.
