Raghav Juyal, a Dehradun-born, became popular initially with Dance India Dance Season 3 in 2012. Although he didn’t take the top prize, ending up as second runner-up, his distinctive slow-motion dance technique made him a sensation across the country. Raghav was popularly referred to as the “King of Slow Motion.” Raghav soon became a name household in the dance community.
After DID, he turned into a mentor for DID Li’l Masters 2 and Dance Ke Superkids, claiming his reality TV space. His fame only rose when he turned to acting, first appearing in the movie Sonali Cable in 2014, followed by a stint in Remo D’Souza’s ABCD 2 (2015). Besides acting and dancing, Raghav turned into a charismatic host of shows like Dance+ and Dance Deewane 3.
But his ride wasn’t smooth. While on Dance+, he surprised the producers by arriving with a bald head. Because the show’s image was linked to a shampoo sponsor, Raghav’s clean shave didn’t go down well with the crew. “They screamed at me, asked me to be professional. I said—do I need to ask for leave to shave my hair?” he remembered.
The episode resulted in some dramatic moments, with the crew initially refusing to give him access to the vanity van.
In 2018, Raghav stepped away from showbiz and went out of the public eye for almost six years. However, his return was nothing short of thunderous. In 2023, he made a strong comeback with Karan Johar’s action thriller Kill, co-starring newcomer Lakshya. The movie got major acclaim, particularly for Raghav’s churning performance. Now, in 2025, Raghav returns again to The Ba*ds of Bollywood, Aryan Khan’s new series, once again to share the screen with Lakshya. The series is popular, and viewers are cheering Raghav for his strong performance and screen presence with Lakshya — cementing his position as not only a dancer, but an emerging actor to watch.
