Aamir Khan Ditches Own Pad to Rent Luxe Apartment for Rs 24.5 Lakh – And Guess Who’s His Neighbor

Aamir Khan is making headlines once again—this time, not for his films, but for his real estate moves.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is making headlines once again—this time, not for his films, but for his real estate moves. With his residence in the Virgio Housing Society undergoing major redevelopment, the Sitaare Zameen Par actor has leased four high-end apartments in Mumbai’s upscale Pali Hill area for a whopping monthly rent of ₹24.5 lakh.

According to documents accessed via Zapkey.com, Aamir signed a five-year lease starting from May 2025 to May 2030, with a 45-month lock-in period. The agreement includes a hefty security deposit of over ₹1.46 crore, a stamp duty of ₹4 lakh, and a registration fee of ₹2,000. Additionally, the rent will see a 5% annual hike over the lease period.

The new apartments are located just 750 metres away from Puja Casa—the building where Shah Rukh Khan and his family have temporarily moved due to redevelopment work at Mannat. Aamir’s decision mirrors that of SRK, who also chose to relocate to a rented property during his own home’s revamp.

Aamir reportedly owns 12 apartments in the Virgio Housing Society, which is being transformed into an ultra-luxury residential complex with prices expected to cross ₹1 lakh per square foot. Upon completion, the actor will receive upgraded units as part of the redevelopment deal.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Aamir Khan was recently seen in Sitaare Zameen Par alongside Genelia Deshmukh. The film has performed well at the box office and marked his return after a brief hiatus. The actor is now preparing for one of his most ambitious ventures yet—a cinematic adaptation of the Mahabharata, which is expected to be a massive project both in scale and storytelling.
