Junaid Khan, the son of Aamir Khan, is soon to be launched on the silver screen in his much-awaited debut film Loveyapa. The romantic comedy, also featuring Khushi Kapoor, has already released its first song, Loveyapa Ho Gaya, which is already garnering plenty of love – including from the Khan family. Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have already given the young actors shoutouts, and Ira Khan, Junaid’s sister, just joined in.
On December 5, 2025, Ira took to Instagram to post a video featuring herself and her husband Nupur Shikhare grooving along to the catchy track. The video featured Ira confessing that she has been playing all weekend, though she joked this might not make for the greatest anniversary song since she just cannot stop listening. She captioned the post: “I was changing lanes, so I look distracted, but we’ve been listening to this all weekend. Not an appropriate anniversary song, but pfffttt.”
Similarly, Aamir Khan also showered love for his son’s soon-to-be-released film. During a conversation with ANI, Aamir said, he had already seen the rough cut of Loveyapa and totally loved the film. He said that the movie has very smartly portrayed how cell phones are changing the way people relate to each other in the modern world, a theme that is so relevant to today’s digital world. Aamir was full of praise for the entire cast, but especially Khushi Kapoor, saying that watching her reminded him of her legendary mother, Sridevi. He said, “When I watched the film and saw Khushi, I felt that I was watching Sridevi.”. Her energy was there, I could see.”
Junaid who has already created a buzz for his role in Loveyapa says that the character he has played in this film is much different from the one he played in his debut movie Maharaj. The film is being directed by Advait Chandan and will release on February 7, 2025. It is a perfect Valentine’s week release for all the rom-com lovers out there.
It appears that Junaid is gathering the support of his entire Khan family, because Aamir and Ira have both made massive noise for Junaid’s maiden project. There’s a massive buzz surrounding Loveyapa, and all are eagerly awaiting to see what Junaid has up his sleeves in the form of cinema.
