The Shah siblings, who are famous across Pakistan due to their viral clips and TV series, are mourning the death of Umer Shah, Ahmad Shah’s young brother. Umer passed away on Monday, September 15, after he suffered a cardiac arrest.

Ahmad Shah, popularity worldwide for his trending “Peeche Toh Dekho” meme, revealed the tragic passing on social media. In a tearful Instagram update, he wrote, “Our little shining star is gone. Please pray for my brother and family.” The post was accompanied by heartbreaking photos of Umer, which triggered an avalanche of sympathy from fans and well-wishers online.
A Rising Star Lost Too Soon
Just like his elder brother, Umer also became a household name on television. He was a common guest on popular programs like Jeeto Pakistan and ARY Digital’s Shan-e-Ramazan, where his lively personality and theme-based dressing stole the hearts of people from all across the nation.
Veteran television anchor Waseem Badami, who had invited Umer to his show Shan-e-Ramazan on more than one occasion, confirmed the cause of death as cardiac arrest. He stated that he had called doctors and delivered the bad news through his medium.

Following the news, condolences from across the entertainment industry poured in. Jeeto Pakistan host Fahad Mustafa wrote, “Speechless. Our Umer has left us.” ARY Digital CEO Jerjees Seja said that he was “still in shock.” Actress Mahira Khan also expressed grief, writing, “Unbelievable. Don’t even know what to say. May Allah give his family sabr.”
Second Tragedy for Family in Two Years
This is the second tragic loss to the Shah family. Ahmad and Umer’s little sister Ayesha died in November 2023 due to health complications. The nation now mourns with them once again.
