Akshay Kumar beats contemporaries; bags maximum awards at Big Star Entertainment Awards

Last night marked the beginning of the awards season with Big Star Entertainment Awards 2012, but the evening belonged to our very own Khiladi, Akshay Kumar bagging the maximum awards at the event.

After having a successful year like 2012 with making over 400 crores at the box office and still counting, this comes as no surprise. Akshay won two individual awards. Returning to his home ground in style, Akshay won the Big Star Most Entertaining Actor in an Action Thriller Role – Male 2012 for ROWDY RATHORE and the Complete Entertainer of the Year – Male 2012 beating his other contemporaries.

Akshay tasted success as a producer as well this year, with his new production house, Grazing Goat Pictures bagging the Most Entertaining Social Film 2012, for OMG OH MY GOD!

Besides these personal achievements, Akshay’s films ROWDY RATHORE and HOUSEFULL 2 also won the Most Entertaining Action Film 2012 and Most Entertaining Comedy Film 2012 respectively.

”It’s been a great year for me…my daughter was born this year that makes it very special. Of course professionally too it worked out well. I’m happy,” Akshay Kumar said in a statement.
