Prithviraj is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language historical action drama film directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films. The film is based on life of Prithviraj Chauhan a king from the Chahamana dynasty.
It features Akshay Kumar as Prithviraj Chauhan, while Manushi Chhillar makes her Hindi film debut by playing her role Sanyogita. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij and Lalit Tiwari in other important characters.
Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Manushi Chhillar and Sonu Sood’s Prithviraj will release in theatres on June 10. The announcement was made with new character posters from the film.
The film is based on Prithviraj Raso, a Braj Bhasha epic poem about the life of Prithviraj Chauhan.
Akshay Kumar sharing the motion poster on his Twitter handle, Akshay wrote, “पराक्रम में अर्जुन, प्रतिज्ञा में भीष्म, ऐसे महान सम्राट पृथ्वीराज चौहान की भूमिका करने का सौभाग्य जीवन मे कभी कभी मिलता है. A role of a lifetime. Samrat #Prithviraj Chauhan arriving in cinemas on 10th June in Hindi,Tamil & Telugu.”
He also shared her look on Instagram and wrote, “प्रण में अड़िग, प्रेम में पावन ऐसी राजकुमारी संयोगिता, भारत का गौरव है! Princess Sanyogita weaved a tale of true love & compassion.” She is wearing traditional attire ans she is looking so beautiful in this outfit.
The motion poster also introduces Sonu Sood character as Chand Vardai and wrote, “बुद्धि में बुध, नीति में बृहस्पति, काव्य में कालिदास ऐसे महाकवि चंद वरदाई को प्रणाम! Daring, perceptive and wise,he was Chand Vardai. Samrat #Prithviraj Chauhan arriving in cinemas on 10th June in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu.”

Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar is making her Bollywood debut with the film. Sharing Manushi’s Princess Sanyogita character poster, Akshay wrote, “Princess Sanyogita weaved a tale of true love & compassion. Celebrate Samrat #Prithviraj Chauhan with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you on 10th June in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu (sic).”
