Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious cinematic projects in Indian history. With a stellar cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana, the film promises to be a visual and emotional spectacle rooted in Indian mythology.
Amitabh Bachchan as Narrator and Jatayu
A new report suggests that megastar Amitabh Bachchan may be roped in as the film’s narrator (sutradhar), adding unparalleled gravitas with his voice. According to Mid-Day, “His voice adds gravitas that no one else can match. The makers are keen that the film opens with his voice.” Additionally, Bachchan is expected to lend his voice to the divine vulture Jatayu, making his role both symbolic and powerful.
A Cinematic Launch Like Never Before
On July 3, 2025, the first look of Ramayana: The Introduction was unveiled globally with simultaneous fan screenings across nine Indian cities and a billboard takeover at Times Square, New York. Produced by Namit Malhotra, co-produced by Yash, and supported by Madhu Mantena and Allu Aravind, the project features Hollywood technicians and Oscar-winning creators.
