Anant Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries and youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, has undertaken a 140-km padyatra (spiritual foot journey) from Jamnagar to the holy city of Dwarka in Gujarat. Known for his devotion to Lord Krishna, Anant began the pilgrimage last week in celebration of his upcoming 30th birthday on April 10. The spiritual journey began from Moti Khavdi in Jamnagar and is expected to take around seven to ten days in total.
Speaking to reporters, Anant shared his spiritual motivation, stating, “I always remember Lord Dwarkadhish before starting any work, and it always completes without obstacles. This padyatra is my offering of gratitude.” He further encouraged India’s youth to have faith in Lord Krishna, adding, “When God is present, there is nothing to worry about.”
Accompanied by Z-level security and local police, Anant walks 10–12 km each night to avoid the heat, maintaining his focus on reaching the Dwarkadhish Temple for his birthday darshan and prayers.
Vantara Initiative Earns National Recognition
Beyond spirituality, Anant Ambani is also gaining recognition for his commitment to animal welfare. His wildlife rescue and rehabilitation initiative, Vantara, was recently honored with the prestigious ‘Prani Mitra’ National Award under the Corporate category. The award, given by the Government of India, recognizes outstanding contributions in animal welfare.
Vantara works through the Radhe Krishna Temple Elephant Welfare Trust (RKTEWT), focusing on the rescue, treatment, and lifelong care of animals—especially elephants. The initiative is considered the world’s largest animal rescue and rehabilitation center, and reflects Anant’s dedication to sustainability and compassion.
As Anant Ambani approaches a milestone birthday, he continues to blend devotion, philanthropy, and leadership, marking a unique path in both spiritual and corporate India.
