Bobby Deol, who made a powerful comeback with his role as the menacing mute villain Abraar in Animal (2023), continues to ride high on the film’s success. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the action thriller starred Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Anil Kapoor, and emerged as a massive blockbuster. Though Bobby had limited screen time, his impactful performance earned him the Best Actor in a Negative Role award.
“Animal 2 Kab Aa Rahi Hai?” – Bobby’s Humble Reply
On Friday evening, Bobby Deol was spotted at a Mumbai cinema hall with his son, Aryaman. During his public appearance, the paparazzi asked him about Animal 2 (officially titled Animal Park). With a gentle smile, Bobby replied, “Pata nahi mujhe” (I don’t know), leaving fans both amused and curious.
Producer Bhushan Kumar had earlier confirmed that Animal Park will begin filming only after director Sandeep Reddy Vanga completes his next project, Spirit, with Prabhas.
Bobby Deol on Choosing a Challenging Role
In a past interview with Humans of Bombay, Bobby shared his thoughts on taking up the role of Abraar. “I wanted to try something outside of my comfort zone,” he said. “When Sandeep told me my character would be mute, I thought, ‘But my voice is my strength.’ Still, I went for it.”
He revealed that he waited 1.5 years to shoot his portions and even learned sign language for the role. “I had doubts, but Sandeep is a sweetheart. I never expected it to become a cult hit, but I had a gut feeling.”
