While speaking in an interview recently, the director hinted at some fascinating facts about the movie, with its emotional core and a “surprise element” that evokes memories of his 2008 blockbuster Ghajini that starred Aamir Khan and Asin.

When questioned whether Sikandar would be as emotionally intense as Ghajini, Murugadoss firmly assured that it would be. He defined the movie as a mix of mass entertainment and deep storytelling, with an emphasis on the husband-wife relationship dynamics. Murugadoss expounded, “Whereas Ghajini was about a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, Sikandar tries to portray the modern couple and how we may be forgetting the emotional aspect of relationships in the current fast-paced life.” The movie hopes to provide an emotionally heart-wrenching experience while being a high-octane entertainer.
