The Angry Meme King Arjun Kapoor Just Starred in an Ad that Will Crack You Up!

Arjun Kapoor Proves He's a Good Sport with His New Ad Poking Fun at His Viral Meme!

Arjun Kapoor has flipped internet mockery into marketing magic by starring in a new ice cream commercial that capitalizes on his viral “poker-face” meme. Known for his self-deprecating humour, Arjun has embraced the meme culture, turning his once-trolled expression into a clever advertising move.

From Meme to Marketing Masterstroke

The meme originated from a 2017 video during Half Girlfriend promotions, where Arjun’s stone-faced expression became a viral reaction GIF. Now, in the new ad, the actor showcases the same blank face in various everyday scenarios—waiting at a restaurant, receiving a gift, even injuring himself in the kitchen. But the twist comes when a bite of ice cream melts his stoic façade, transforming him into an expressive, dancing version of himself.

The ad has gone viral, with fellow actors like Gulshan Devaiah calling it “Reverse UNO,” while Varun Dhawan praised it as “Superb.” Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar responded with laughing emojis, and Arjun’s sister Anshula Kapoor called it “too good.” Fans joked about how Arjun monetized a meme, saying, “Tum log memes banaate reh gaye, ye Aadmi usse bhi paisa kama gaya.”

A Sweet Comeback?

The ad marks a cheeky comeback for Arjun, who previously turned off Instagram comments after being spammed with the viral GIF. With the meme now commercialized, he’s reopened his comment section—welcoming the buzz.

On the film front, Arjun was last seen in Mere Husband Ki Biwi and has wrapped the Delhi schedule of Mudassar Aziz’s next project. He’s also set to appear in No Entry 2 alongside Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh. Produced by his father Boney Kapoor, the sequel has dropped its original cast, including Salman Khan, due to behind-the-scenes creative differences.
