Ash King may be born and brought up in London, but his roots are back in India, where he loves his Bengali and Gujarati culture.
However the singer has adapted well, which is quite visible through his songs ‘Te Amo, Meherbaan’ and the most recent being ‘Alizeh’ from AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL.
In fact, he did sing all of these songs at the recently held Mumbai Ballard Estate Festival. Shubhra Bhardwaj, MD, says, “It is my honour to see how vastly the festival is expanding its horizon.
With such an overwhelming response, we are prepared to deliver another action packed event. It is exciting to see how the city comes together and adds glory to the festival; how wonderful it is that we can be a city which celebrates itself and its people.”
Ash King, who has sung so many Bollywood songs, is still finding it difficult to mouth the song from Vidya Balan’s upcoming release KAHAANI 2.
Says Ash, “I’m still learning the words of my song from KAHAANI 2. But I love and am a big fan of KAHAANI and in fact wanted to sing in the sequel.”
How awesome he actually got to do that!
