The latest song from the upcoming film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, titled Kisi Roz, has been released. Sung by Maithili Thakur and composed by MM Kreem, the song fails to leave a lasting impression. Despite poignant lyrics by Manoj Muntashir, Maithili’s voice struggles to convey the heartbreak and emotion. The song’s semi-classical composition, intended to showcase Maithili’s folk voice, doesn’t quite blend with the lyrics.
The lyrics, which speak of longing and separation, require a voice that can convey the pain and pathos. Unfortunately, Maithili’s voice falls short, lacking the maturity and depth required to do justice to the emotions. The song’s impact is hindered by her coarse and immature tone, which fails to resonate with the listener.
The film, directed by Neeraj Pandey, stars Ajay Devgn and Tabu in a heartbreaking love story. The song’s failure to impress is a missed opportunity, as the narrative had the potential to be elevated by a soulful and haunting voice. Perhaps a different singer, such as Jonita Gandhi or Bhavya Gandhi, would have been a better fit for this poignant song. Despite its shortcomings, the song may still work within the context of the film, which is set to release on July 5.”
