Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s father Suresh Hirani passed away yesterday after a prolonged illness. Prominent personalities from the film industry made it a point to attend the funeral of late Hirani and to offer their condolences to Raju Hirani.

Among the attendees were Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani, Swanand Kirkire, Raageshwari Loomba et al.
Boman also tweeted on the social networking site, ‘Raju Hirani’s father passed away this morning. He was a great inspiration to Raju and also to all of us!’
