Deepika Padukone will appear alongside Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo, playing the role of Suhana Khan’s mother. Plot Details and Direction
King draws inspiration from the 2000 film Bichhoo but is not a remake. The movie is based on Shah Rukh Khan as an aging killer on a quest for vengeance, together with Suhana Khan’s role. The film was initially to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh but was taken over by Siddharth Anand when Ghosh dropped out. Famous for his action movie plots, Anand will infuse the film with high-octane scenes and romance, which will turn King into a typical Shah Rukh Khan film.
Cast and Release
Abhishek Bachchan will also star in the film as the antagonist, while Abhay Verma will be featured in a significant role. Shooting will be conducted in India and Europe with Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix as the production backers for an epic cinematic experience. King will be released later in 2026.
