It was the rarest of rare events and a God send opportunity for the media photographers and video units. There was virtually a stampede among them to record it. You don’t generally see such a turnout of top of the line stars and Bollywood celebrities for music launch parties. The stage was not big enough to accommodate them and the media went berserk in its excitement. After all, it was a dream come true photo opportunity for them.

YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2 music was launched at a suburban Mumbai hotel in the presence of the film’s star cast including the Deols – Dharmendra, Sunny, and Bobby, the film’s director Sangeeth Sivan, and the top of the line Bollywood celebrities like Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Retiesh Deshmukh, GeneliaD’Souza, and Rakesh Roshan, just to name a few. There were reports that Akshay Kumar, and Abhishek Bachchan had turned up as well. Though Salman Khan had not come by the time this writer left the launch venue, he was expected.
The jam-packed launch party saw the who’s who of Bollywood reporting in full strength to express their solidarity with the Deols. The top of the line stars who were present in Mumbai made it a point to register their presence. The best known Bollywood directors and producers could be seen in the milling crowd, rubbing shoulders with the rest of the invitees like commoners. It spoke volumes of the boundless respect and love Dharam Ji commands in the industry.

The function started with Sharib & Toshi, the music directors of YMD 2, singing songs from the YMD 2 album. They were later joined by Sunidhi Chauhan. The song that really brought the house down was ‘Main Taan Aidaan Hi Nachna’ when the entire celebrity brigade, including Aamir, Shahrukh, Hrithik, and Retiesh joined Dharam Ji, trying hard to match his characteristic dancing steps and style.
YMD 2 music album is released by Yash Raj Films. It has 8 tracks sung by Sonu Nigam, Mika Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Toshi, Sharib, Sanchita Bhattacharya, and Diljit Dosanjh. The lyrics are written by Kumaar and the music is composed by Toshi and Sharib. The film is produced by Sunny Sound Pvt. Ltd. and YPD Films Ltd. (UK), and co-produced by Suniel Saini and Vijay Dhanoya.
