Talk about authenticity. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s next, BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG, will see a batch of 46 jawans making their Bollywood debut.
Rakeysh wanted to shoot the film at a real location with real soldiers. So, auditions were held – among the jawans who were undergoing training – to select the jawans who would play Farhan Akhtar’s companions. They will be introduced in a song titled ‘Maston Ka Jhund’, which showcases the solidarity between the army men, who are being trained by a strict ustaad.
The Indian Army threw open its doors to the crew and provided all facilities. In fact, the 46 jawans were not even given postings till they finished shooting.
