This is something Vidhu Vinod Chopra will savor forever. His film FERRARI KI SAWAARI, directed by Rajesh Mapuskar starring Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani, is the first ever feature film to be shot at Lord’s Cricket Ground, the Mecca of world cricket, being the headquarters of MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club).

The film was shot inside the club house as well as on the main ground. The permission to shoot came after much persuasion and after the MCC authorities had a look at the film’s script. They were so moved by it that breaking all past conventions they granted the film crew the permission to shoot at the venerable venue.
CHECK OUT: Sharman Joshi-Boman Irani starrer FERRARI KI SAWAARI’s trailer out
This was revealed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra while releasing one of the songs of the film. By all indications FERRARI KI SAWAARI seems to be yet another feel-good, message oriented film from the banner that seems to have developed specialisation in making movies of such genre starting with MUNNA BHAI M.B.B.S .
The hopeful euphoric song is about cricket and how a child reaches the pinnacle of glory with the support of the whole community. The child actor, whose name was not disclosed, reminds one of the young Sachin Tendulkar. He has acted very well and comes across as a cricketing prodigy the way he plays his shots at Lord’s ground.
