After Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s PADMAVATI, Deepika after a much deserved rest will start shooting for SAPNA DIDI. We reported earlier that Deepika Padukone is set to pair up with her PIKU co –star Irrfan Khan.
In a further development the movie based on one of the chapters from former investigative journalist-turned-author S Hussain Zaidi's book, ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ to be helmed by Vishal Bhardwaj's associate Honey Trehan, will go on floors next year.
Co-produced by Prerna Arora and Arjun N Kapoor, Deepika Padukone will play the role of a mafia queen Rahima Khan, popularly known as Sapna Didi who planned the elimination of Dawood Ibrahim during a cricket match in Sharjah to avenge her husband’s death. Irrfan Khan will play Deepika’s love interest.
