The trailer for Housefull 5, the latest instalment in the blockbuster comedy franchise, dropped on Tuesday, creating a buzz ahead of its theatrical release on June 1. Headlined by Akshay Kumar, who has been a part of the franchise since its debut in 2010, Housefull 5 also features Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, and many more. The trailer opens with Nana Patekar’s voiceover, setting the stage: a billionaire hosts a grand party on his 100th birthday to announce his will—but chaos erupts when he’s mysteriously killed.
The twist? The prime suspects played by Akshay, Abhishek, and Riteish have no memory of the night after being drugged. Enter Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt, who arrive to solve the case. What follows is a wild mix of humour, horror, and whodunnit-style suspense, with plenty of trademark Housefull absurdity.

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani (Dostana, Drive), Housefull 5 is Akshay’s second attempt at franchise success after OMG 2, which earned praise and commercial success. The film’s first song, “Laal Pari” by Yo Yo Honey Singh, has already crossed 60 million views on YouTube, adding to the hype.
