Despite ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI DOBAARA not working at the box-office, Imran Khan is pretty content on doing the film.
The 30-year-old actor says, ”Personally I felt that I got a very good response as an actor. At the box office, obviously if you release with one quarter the number of the prints, people will not see your film. Our opening day collections for the number of screens we had, was very good. And for me it was an exposure to an audience which I did not have access to before. Generally I have done more urban films. Here I was doing a film and a role which reached out to a new audience. So it’s okay that the film didn’t work at the box-office. It’s not under my control. There’s nothing I can do. What is in my control is, as an actor, did I do good work? Which I believe, I did. And I’m happy with the response I got from that.”

Ask him about his relations with Ekta Kapoor post the failure of ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI DOBAARA and he says, ”I don’t know. Ekta has never called me since the release of OUATIMD.” And did Imran try to call her? ”I didn’t feel the need to,” he curtly replies.
Imran Khan will next be seen opposite Kareena Kapoor in Punit Malhotra’s GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN, which releases on 22nd November 2013.
