Madhur Bhandarkar’s next INDU SARKAR is based on the 21-month long period from 1975 to 1977, when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had unilaterally declared a state of emergency across the country. The movie stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kirti Kulhari, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Anupam Kher.
The first trailer of the film is out and needless to say, it’s gripping, intriguing and keeps you glued till last.
Madhur, who is known for his cinematic brilliance and also makes sure that his films cater to reality, has made sure that INDU SARKAR stands by his genre of films.
Every single frame, every single dialogue is spine chilling. It’s so real, so raw and the cinematography has been dealt so well.
Neil Nitin Mukesh looks doppelganger of Sanjay Gandhi, shows his acting prowess as conniving & shrewd politician. Kriti Kulhari, who plays a character who stammers, is the woman to stand against Indra Gandhi and she nails it perfectly.
A woman who fights with the politics for the nation and kids is emotional, patriotic and harsh truth. While the trailer is so interesting, we are now awaiting for the movie which hits the screens on 28th July 2017.
